The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Key Largo woman on Thursday after she jumped from a second floor at a home in an attempt to evade the deputies.
Deputies responded to a call in Key Largo around 8 p.m., when they met with a man who reported that Tracy Marie Curley, 35, was having a “crack-oriented emergency” and was causing a disturbance.
As deputies attempted to enter the home, the man told them that Curley had jumped off the second floor and was running away. Deputies saw Curley running down the street, but she didn’t respond to their commands for her to stop. After a short foot pursuit, a deputy caught up with Curley, but she continued to resist arrest.
Between shouting expletives, Curley attempted to head-butt the deputy.
Neither Curley nor deputies suffered any serious injuries. Curley was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. She was taken to the Plantation Key Jail.
