Following a small sting operation in Stock Island in February, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman Wednesday for selling Schedule II narcotics.
On Feb. 8, the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit conducted an undercover drug buy using a confidential informant, purchasing two Oxycodone pills from Brandy Jennifer Lett for $100.
Via text messages, Lett and the informant agreed to meet at Cross Street and 5th Avenue on Stock Island, where the exchange took place. According to the report, this was not the first purchase made by the informant from Lett. Using video and audio surveillance equipment, detectives were able to confirm Lett’s identity and that the sale took place.
Following the sale, the Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Lett. She was charged with selling a Schedule II narcotic, and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
Lett was arrested in Indian River County on July 2, and transported to the Monroe County Detention Center on July 11. Her bond is set at $90,000.
