In yet another undercover operation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a Fort Lauderdale woman was arrested for selling crack cocaine on Monday.
Kizmet Yatz Qualls, 45, was charged with selling cocaine and use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony.
While Qualls was arrested recently, the undercover operation was conducted earlier this year in May. According to the report, detectives organized a controlled buy by contacting Qualls and arranging a purchase of $100 worth of crack cocaine.
Qualls instructed the buyer to go to the Marathon Publix, where Qualls arrived in a black Nissan. She then sold them approximately one gram of crack cocaine and then left the area. The evidence was documented, and the entire operation was covered by surveillance.
Several months later, detectives secured a warrant for Qualls’ arrest. She was taken to the Monroe County Detention Center, where she was being held on a bond of $35,000.
