Two Chattanooga, Tennessee residents were arrested on Wednesday after a traffic stop revealed the driver had a suspended license and the passenger had a variety of drugs.

Keith L. Austin, 28, was charged with driving with a suspended license. Lisa Marie Blake, 34, was charged with possession of marijuana, two counts possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and six counts possession of paraphernalia.

Around 11:24 a.m., a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted a vehicle with illegal tint on the driver’s side window near Mile Marker 100. The deputy pulled over the vehicle and met with the occupants, identified as Austin and Blake, and measured the driver’s side window. The window tested beyond the legal tint limit. Simultaneously, the deputy reported smelling marijuana in the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 9.3 grams of methamphetamine, 8.9 grams of heroin, 0.3 grams of marijuana and six syringes. Blake claimed ownership of all the illegal items.

Both Austin and Blake were taken to the Plantation Key Jail, where they were being held on bonds of $2,500 and $20,000, respectively.
