A Marathon man who was already in jail for violating probation received additional charges Friday for an armed robbery of a man in January.

Thomas Andrew Lancaster, 22, was charged with battery, kidnapping and robbery with a deadly weapon.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 7700 block of Aviation Boulevard on Jan. 17, 2019 in reference to a burglary. The victim stated Lancaster and another man — who remains at large — came into his camper brandishing a knife. Lancaster kicked a woman in the stomach and then demanded money from the male victim, according to MCSO.

The victim gave him $90 and told him that he had more money in his vehicle outside of the camper. Outside, a struggle ensued between the male victim and the suspects, with the victim receiving a cut to his hand. Lancaster and the other suspect then fled the scene.

While Lancaster reportedly had his face covered with a T-shirt, the victim still recognized him and the other suspect in a photo lineup.

Lancaster remains in jail without bond. The case remains under investigation, and more arrests may be pending.

Lancaster has a lengthy arrest history that includes theft of a firearm, robbery and drug-related offenses.

Information in the Crime Report is obtained from reports provided by area law enforcement agencies.
