The Key West Police Department arrested a Woodstock, Georgia man on Friday for lewd behavior after several women reported seeing him at their hotel, masturbating on the balcony.
Mark I. Criswell, 55, was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior in the presence of a person under 16, and two counts of public indecency.
According to the report, officers responded to Casa Marina around 6:55 p.m., where they were met by hotel security. Security escorted the officers to the room of two minors, who reported that they were on the beach taking pictures of each other when another woman told them to stop. The woman told police that she saw Criswell on his balcony masturbating while watching the two girls.
According to the victims, once the three stopped what they were doing and looked up at Criswell, he stood up and went inside his hotel room. Officers spoke with Criswell, who stated he was sitting on the balcony with only a white t-shirt on, but the shirt was long enough to cover his genitals. He denied masturbating while on the balcony. One of the victims was able to provide a photograph of Criswell on his balcony with no pants on. All three victims advised they wished to pursue charges.
Criswell was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Detention Center, where he was being held with a bond of $6,500.
