A Key Largo man was arrested on Wednesday after he sold a pound of marijuana to an individual working with detectives.
Blake William Halliday was charged with sale of marijuana and use of a two-way communications device to commit a felony.
According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s office report, Halliday had been under investigation by detectives prior to Wednesday, and over the past several months he sold marijuana to undercover operatives multiple times. On Wednesday, the individual met with Halliday at the 1300 block of Ocean Bay Drive in Key Largo, where he exchanged $2,400 for 473.8 grams of marijuana, just over one pound.
Following the sale, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Halliday’s vehicle, where they recovered the $2,400.
Halliday was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Detention Center, where he was being held on an $80,000 bond. He received additional charges stemming from his previous sales to undercover operatives.
