The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Marathon woman on Sunday following a bar fight in which she threw a beer bottle, struck a man and later threatened to “blow up” deputies.
Harolind M. Jimenez, 36, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of battery and threats against a law enforcement officer.
Around 12:02, deputies responded to the Brass Monkey after the bar requested them to trespass a woman causing a disturbance. Deputies met with Jimenez and the victim outside the bar, where they were having a verbal argument. However, despite the deputies’ presence, Jimenez proceeded to shove the victim during the argument. According to the report, the victim punched Jimenez in self-defense.
According to the victim, Jimenez was causing a disturbance in the bar, and at some point she threatened to kill him. Following this, Jimenez threw a beer bottle at the victim, but it missed. A cell phone recording from a witness was provided to deputies as evidence.
Following the altercation, deputies transported Jimenez to the Marathon substation, where she began to threaten them. She stated she would have her father and her brother kill them, and even specified that she would have her brother “blow [him] up.”
Jimenez was transported to the Monroe County Detention Center, where she was being held on a $4,000 bond.
