MARATHON — A 37-year-old woman was arrested twice in two days for inhaling aerosol duster cans, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was charged with misdemeanor inhalation of dangerous chemicals in both incidents on Sunday and on Monday.
On Monday, a witness called the Sheriff’s Office about 4 p.m. to report suspected drug activity on 53rd Street where they found the woman sitting on the steps of a closed business.
An arriving deputy found the woman disoriented and noted she had trouble answering questions. They further noted that she had in her possession the same duster can that she possessed when she was arrested the previous day, reports say.
Jail records indicate she was arrested less than three hours after her release on Monday.
The woman was taken back to the Monroe County Detention Center on Stock Island where she remained on Wednesday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
